Abstract
Based on the conceptual developments of leading domestic scientists, including the results of research by Russian universities, the author analyzes the transition of political socialization of young people in higher education from a traditional institutional approach to a network approach. This transition is due to the processes of globalization and the development of information technologies. The conclusion is drawn about the need to expand the pool of key actors involved in the process of political socialization, as well as about the importance of building new communication channels and improving the language of communication with students in order to effectively convey the most significant socio-political information to them
